40: Refers to Isaiah 40 “The voice of one calling in the wilderness ‘Prepare ye the way of the Lord!’” or alternatively “The voice of one calling, ‘In the wilderness, prepare ye the way of the Lord!’”
Also, with a pleasing piece of symmetry, ’40′ is a rather good song by U2 based on Psalm 40 with the refrain “How long to sing this song?”
The blog is intended to be the musings of a wanderer. The Wanderer is called to wander across the land and call upon God to fill his own emptiness and brokenness and to fill the emptiness and brokenness of the lives and land that he is passing, and to cry out “God, we need you!”.
